There have been a number of requests to create a user friendly - FREE space where neighbors can communicate, share information, announce neighborhood events, and connect.
Although I have set up the blog, I don't intend to be the moderators, only the friendly instigator!
Also coming will be a FaceBook Page and Twitter account so that you can stay up to date on "breaking news". This feature will be of particular interest to those who like to have breaking Block Watch News.
Anyone can post to the blog but yes you do need an account. You will need a gmail account which is free.
ReplyDeleteNeighborhood events will be posted here so you can see what is going on for the week. We have a number of cyclists, walkers, hikers, dog walkers, runners, gardeners, and people who just like to get together for margaritas!
Keep in mind that your neighbors and really anyone could be reading this so don't post personal messages or information that you do not want the world to see. For examples:
- Don't post personal information to a blog or a twitter
- Use the blog to express personal opinions in a "neighborly" manner
If this is successful, we can save the neighborhood some $$'s by getting rid of the website that I think very little of us use.
